Tracey Miller

Tracey Miller is a PhD student at Leeds Beckett University exploring how women and girls are portrayed in literature.

Tracey asks you to consider:

  • What was the first book you remember reading?

  • Can you recall if there was a key female character?

You may be surprised at your answers!

Tracey's doctoral degree explores the so-called 'feminisation' of history though the medium of historical fiction; and research the reconstruction of 'her-story' with a wider view concerning the modern reception of culture and heritage, especially concerning the Tudor period.

Tracey holds a BA in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures and Linguistics from the University of Reading and a MA in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Buckingham.

She fits her studies around being a busy mum, and squeezes her hobbies, watercolour painting and photography, in whenever she can.
